If there is one team the New York Islanders don’t want to face, it has to be the Philadelphia Flyers. Tonight will mark the fifth of six meetings between the Atlantic Division rivals and the Flyers have won every game so far. The streak doesn’t stop there, as the Flyers have owned the Islanders like no other team in recent history.

The Canadians are riding all the momentum in the world, coming back from a 3-0 deficit against Anaheim to win 4-3 in a shootout. The Habs scored twice in the final 1:30 of the game to tie it before Tomas Plekanec potted home the shootout winner. There was also a very significant goalie change in that game for Montreal, but that’s something we will get to later.
